Charleston hotel terrace
Charleston, SC · Hotels

Challenge
A hotel needed shoulder-season covers on an exposed terrace. Year-one umbrellas failed in wind. The owner did not want a second mobilization for heaters.
Solution
Coupled heat-sealed Meridian bays, post drainage, zip on the windward side, infrared heaters and LED specified in one configuration. Building photo + elevations. Certified installer from ZIP search. Retract membrane before named storms.
Budget
Two coupled Meridian modules + zip screens + LED + two heaters: $41,000–$48,000 configured. Install and crane in the partner quote. Production weeks showed in the cart after ZIP.

Results
34 covered seats in the first season (blog customer story). Drainage performed in tropical rain. No year-two heater crane.
Energy savings
Heaters are comfort, not HVAC replacement. Closed roof at solar noon cuts terrace radiant load; kitchen HVAC was unchanged. Guests stayed through 5 p.m. glare that previously emptied the rail.
