Coastal Florida, Broward and Miami-Dade have wind-borne debris and HVHZ requirements. Retractable systems must be designed to retract or lock per the published rating. Do not leave fabric extended in a named storm. Pool covers are safety (ASTM F1346), not hurricane shutters. - Is Miami-Dade the same as Florida NOA?
- No. Miami-Dade (and HVHZ) is a stricter product-approval path. Statewide Florida Product Approval (NOA/FL) is separate. We document both when the job needs them.
